Eryn Allen Kane – Slipping
New track from effortlessly soulful newcomer Eryn Allen Kane. After lending her stunning vocals to The Social Experiment’s debut album, Kane was invited personally by Prince to feature on his recent track ‘Baltimore’. With a knowing maturity and confidence to her vocal, her performance just seems smooth and free flowing. Making ‘Slipping’ a pure melt into your ears kind of track. ‘Slipping’ is taken from Kane’s upcoming debut ‘Aviary’ EP which is due for release later in the year.
Tender – Melt
The latest track ‘Melt’ from London-based duo Tender. With a sound that seems to rest somewhere between, the likes of The XX and Portishead. Melancholic vocals, merge with deep and bassy melodies on this heartbreaking but tender love story. While it could so have, quite easily become too dense and heavy, the duo manage to create a soundscape that is delicate, expansive and chilled.
Semma – Cut The Rope
Funky smooth new track from newcomer Semma. ‘Cut The Rope’ is a delicious dollop of funky pop, which benefits from heavy-weight producer Star Slinger’s magic touch. The track is an unashamed pop-dance track, but is held up by Semma’s bold and confident vocal performance. ‘Cut The Rope’ is the kind of track that is perfect for a lazy summer’s evening.
