Ben Khan – 2022 Zodiac
Taken from Ben Khan’s new ‘1000’ EP which is out today. ‘2022 Zodiac’ takes Ben’s dense electro sound and gives it a funk infused edge, which is littered with vocal samples. While Khan has always been haunted by comparisons to Jai Paul. ‘2022 Zodiac’ feels like this is the an attempt by Khan to break away into his own sound. Ben Khan’s new ‘1000’ EP is out today.
Iris – Follow Me
New track from Montreal based artist Iris. ‘Follow Me’ is a disco tinged, electro pop track which sports a rather dark and dense underbelly. It’s this darkness that simmers just below the surface that gives this track it’s edge. It’s electro pop, but with a grown-up edge.
The Rebel Light – Strangers //
‘Strangers’ is a Californian vibing electro indie pop from The Rebel Light. You can almost feel the sunlight bursting from your headphones, in progressively sunnier and sunnier waves. Which is very welcome, when you live in the cold, grey, and rain drenched UK. With a sound that’s reminiscent of British indie bands such as The Coral and The Thrills, but with a slightly rougher, more DIY feel about them. ‘Strangers’ is streaming now.
