The Night VI – Just Words //

New sultry and very heartfelt track from London based The Night VI. ‘Just Words’ sees the five-piece take things down to a slower pace, with sultry vocals layered against sparkling synths and shimmering melodies. The track switches things up vocally with the bands keyboard player Kristy Marie taking lead vocals, with regular vocalist Sophie-rose on harmonies. The track is released via Duly Noted.

Fickle Friends – Paris

Brighton five-piece and our long time faves, Fickle Friends are back with a new track. ‘Paris’ is a slightly demure offering, when compared to previous tracks. Lacking the bands usual high energy, sunshine infused, pop sound. In its place is a slightly more considered and tender vocal.

Grrl Pal – Nerve

Intriguing new track from Perth, based duo Grrl Pal. ‘Nerve’ is slightly unnerving, haunting, hypnotising and all the other adjectives that you can use to suggest you’re not really sure how to take a track. All that said it’s also a sweet, left-field pop track. The duo say the song is about unstable and conflict filled relationships. They’ve also set themselves the challenge of releasing a new track every month in 2015, so expect to be a lot more from Grrl Pal.
