This months new sound of the months comes from the sunny south coast of England. The Diamond Age are a duo hailing from Southampton that create sounds that merge beach tinged retro rock, with a solid pop production. Tracks which echo with refrained indie vocals, wailing guitars, and a smattering of twinkly percussion all built around solid pop melodies. Clearly drawing on influences from the likes of The Shins, LCD Soundsystem and The Smiths.
The Diamond Age’s first two debut tracks ‘Andrew’s An Android’ and ‘Yesterday Was’ are streaming now.
