Kicking things off with a Fleetwood Mac sample is always a good thing in our book. And thats exactly what SZA has done with her new EP ‘S.’ the follow up to her ‘See.SZA.Run’ EP which introduced us to the Maplewood songstress. Blending the sparkling opening bed from Fleetwood’s ‘Everywhere’ with a effortlessly cool RnB vocal and beat which surprisingly works rather well. The EP continues on with tracks such as ‘Aftermath’ and ‘Pray’ which show off SZA’s effortlessly cool vocal talent, which we can’t help but feel sounds a lot like The Weeknd. Which is i’m sure you’re aware is no bad thing. Could SZA be the female equivalent of The Weeknd, we sure hope she replicates his success.
