That’s another month in the bag, so it’s time to recline and bask in the sheer magnitude of great tracks that June had to offer. With Wolf Alice continuing their metioric rise to stardom, new comers such as Strangelove and Rhythm District dropping tracks, and Flyte coming out of the studio with new material. June was a huge month for new music. But don’t worry as always we’ve compiled it into a handy Soundcloud playlist.

Wolf Alice – Freazy //
It would seem everything Wolf Alice touch at the moment, turns to gold. With plaudits from heavy hitters such as Annie Mac, Zane Lowe, and bloggers all over the shop, singing their praises. Gearing up for the release of their debut album, ‘My Love Is Cool’ the four-piece have put out some pretty varied material. From the beautifully, delicate and diy vibes of ‘I Saw You (In a Corridor)’ and the slow burner of a track ‘Blush’. ‘Freazy’ moves things into a somewhat more dream pop-tinged realm. Taken from the aforementioned album, ‘Freazy’ sets a nice tone for band’s album release ‘My Love Is Cool’ which is out June 22nd.
Powers – Loved By You
New track ‘Loved By You’ from New York/Los Angeles duo Powers. The follow up to previous track ‘Beat Of My Drum’ while that track featured vocals by Mike Del Rio. ‘Loved By You’ sees Crista Ru picking up vocal duties. Which give this track a much poppier vibe rather than ‘Beat Of My Drum’s soulful smooth feel.
Strangelove – Burnin //
First track from newcomer Alexander Thorstvedt aka Strangelove. ‘Burnin’ is a funky indie pop track which pushes deep into solid synths and layers of sparkling percussion. Hailing from Norway, ‘Burnin’ is a strong first release from Strangelove and sets him up for plenty of hype over the coming months.
