DJ Evian Christ best known for his work with Kanye West on his track ‘I’m In It’. Has cancelled his set at this weekend’s Reading Festival, after being locked in a ‘cage’ at yesterday at Leeds.

Security staff detained the DJ after mistaking him for a normal reveller in a backstage area. Christ tweeted out a video while in the holding area, which also declared that his Reading set was cancelled.

It has since been confirmed that Evian Christ’s Sunday set at Reading has been cancelled.

Festival Organiser Melvin Benn claimed on Sunday that Evian Christ held by security staff after appearing to be intoxicated and refusing to identify himself. Benn also added that the DJ was never stopped from performing.

Reading and Leeds Festivals are held simultaneously in Little John’s Farm and Bramham Park respectively, and attracts crowds of over 160,000 between them. This year’s headliners are Mumford and Sons, Metallica, and The Libertines.
