i must admit that theres never been anything i’ve not liked, thats been put out by french label kitsuné. so when i first heard a 20sec sample of label newcomers is tropical, i was a little shocked to hear something a little less digital and synthy and something abit more rock driven. kitsuné after all are the label that have brought us yelle, beni, cut copy and french horn rebellion amoung other synth pop hereos. all that aside though is tropical, are an amazing band with a grungy yet poppy sound tinted with anthemic lyrics, and an overall feel thats hard to pin down. the new single ‘south pacific’ is released on the 8th november, the video to which is below. enjoy
