It’s Friday the thirtieth but don’t worry about that nonsense. You’ve lucked out because you’re reading today’s Need to Hear. Three tracks which you need to hear today. You lucky lucky thing you. Remember to go check us out on Twitter so you never miss anything.
Lade – The Flood
The chilled out title track from LA’s Lade. Melding gorgeous unobtrusive vocals with a delicate melody. Their debut EP ‘The Flood’ is streaming over on their soundcloud.
The Night VI – Turn Your Light On Me
Latest track from six-piece The Night VI. The Londoners first came to my attention a few months ago when their track ‘Heroine’ was remixed by the Mystery Jets. Since then the band have released three new tracks. All of which sit someway between, folk and pop, with this track almost having a slight Fleetwood Mac vibe about it.
Peter Lyons – Leave Me
Peter Lyons debuts with this heartfelt, electronic ballad. Which skillfully manages to incorporate the subtle and refrained melody with Lyons’ sincere vocal and an array of electro elements. While still making the whole thing seem fluid and smooth.
