Made In Heights – Slow Burn //
Follow up to LA duo Made In Heights quirky, funky, and soulful single ‘Forgiveness’. Which we featured last month. ‘Slow Burn’ hangs up the quirkiness, and adds extra funky smoothness in it’s place. Taken from the duo’s upcoming album ‘Without My Enemy What Would I Do’ which is due for release May 26th.
Sameblod – My Fortune
New track from Swedish electro-pop duo Sameblod. ‘My Fortune’ is a mass of sparkling synths, slightly distant vocals and a high energy pop melody which just bubbles along underneath it all. I first heard these two a few weeks ago when I stumbled across their rather interesting reworking of Yeasayer’s ‘O.N.E’. definitely worth a listen.
Pistol Shrimp – Honey
The fact that this track is called ‘Honey’ totally belies just how sweet this pop track from Pistol Shrimp really is. Less natural sweetness more saccharine sweet. Blending twinkling percussion with a sunshine tinged melody and slightly indie vocal. ‘Honey’ is out today, a should probably be added to your summer playlist now.
