New tracks from Australian indie pop group Cub Sport formerly known as Cub Scouts. Their new ‘Paradise’ EP is packed to the rafters with the sort of summery hand clappy tracks we heard from the early days of Los Campesinos! or The Rumble Strips fused with a modern synth pop sound.
That said ‘Paradise’ EP isn’t a relentless march of jaw achingly smiley tracks, the EP takes breathers most notably in track three ‘Shuffle’ which takes things to a deeper place and during track five with the delicate and dainty track ‘Write You A Letter’. All in all it’s a strong EP which sets the band up for a confident LP.
‘Paradise’ EP is out now on Cosine Records.
