A new track from Cut Copy’s upcoming forth studio release has dropped over on Soundcloud. And boy oh boy things have taken a turn for the 80’s over at Cut Copy mountain. ‘We Are Explorers’ opens to strained synths before giving way to soaring choral electro vocals and a marching pop beat, all welded to Dan Whitford’s familiar vocal. There’s certainly more than a whiff of Pet Shop Boys and Duran Duran about this track. It’ll be interesting to see if the rest of the upcoming ‘Free Your Mind’ will take on the same aural aesthetic.
‘We Are Explorers’ is taken from Cut Copy’s forthcoming album ‘Free Your Mind’ which is released in the UK November 4 on Modular Records.
