This post was originally going to be about the rather bassy remix of Clean Bandit’s ‘Rather Be’ by LA’s Elephante, but it got me thinking about all the artists that we’ve hyped over the last six years.

There is nothing more gorgeous than seeing an artist or band that you’ve hyped from day one making it into the mainstream, and onward towards huge success. Now i’m not saying that ilovepie the tiny little music blog from Bristol is solely responsible for these artists success that would be bloody ridiculous. But we did have the honour last week of receiving our first featured suggestion over on HumanHuman, the music dicovery site with Glaswegian’s Prides, picking up enough ‘agrees’ to make it to the illustrious position of the featured page (Here). We’ve also seen the likes of AlunaGeorge, Ellie Goulding and more recently SOHN become part of the mainstream music consciousness.

All that said we’re pretty hyped about the steer juggernaut of a musical force that Clean Bandit have become over the last few months. We introduced them to you  early last year, and they’ve since gone on to have a UK number one single with ‘Rather Be’ and a top ten album with their debut, album ‘New Eyes’ reaching number three in the UK album charts. It really does make this blogging malarky all worth while.

But yeah back to the music, here’s the rather amazing and bassy reworking ‘Rather Be’ by LA producer Elephante. Enjoy and here’s to all the undiscovered talent out there, who we hope one day we hope to help make it.
