Australia have been featuring heavly in my musical devourings lately. With the likes of Chela, Cut Copy, and even Van She getting plenty of plays on the ilovepie stereo. So it’s not surprising that i’ve fallen in love with Betty Who (No relation to the Doctor BTW).
On the face of it Betty Who could quite easily be cast aside as just another pop act, but from the few tracks i’ve managed to find online, she certainly seems to have depth. Soaring vocals combined with catchy radio friendly melodies work perfect to create a sound thats both well rounded but also with just a hint of the indie about it.
The antipodean invasion is underway … best put on your dancing shoes.
