If theres one thing I wish I was around for when it comes to music, thats the 1980’s and the new wave and new romantic movement. The glamour, the make up and all them tasty tasty sythns. That’s why i’ve fallen head over heels for latest find Brooklyn’s Paperwhite. Melding electro pop sounds with funky synths and heaps of new wave-esque synth driven melodies. The duo have recently re-worked Brighton’s Fickle Friends ‘Swim’ crafting it into a funky beat laden jam which blends the originals upbeat pop feel with Paperwhite’s eighties aesthetic.
I have a feeling I may be mentioning Paperwhite a lot in the next few months.
